Footpath Resurfaced

In 2024 RDCC submitted 2 carriageways and a footpath to the Joint Priorities Scheme through the Midlothian Traffic Roads and Paths Group. The footpath that was submitted was the B7003 footpath from Rosewell to Roslin which was taken forward by Midlothian Councils Traffic Roads and Paths group.

The area that was taken forward was the unmaintained and failing section of footway between Rosewell’s Gorton Road roundabout and the first layby into Roslin Glen. Upgrades along here have widened the path where possible and resurfaced the entire length, bringing it up to code and making it safe once more for users.
