We encourage residents to take part in consultations and make their views known. Where appropriate, the Community Council will also gather feedback at meetings and submit a collective response reflecting the views of the community.

The Community Council is consulted on planning applications that could have a significant effect on Rosewell & District. Although we are not part of Midlothian Council’s Planning Authority, we can represent the views of local residents in our responses.
If you wish to raise any matters relating to a planning application:
- Contact the Community Council so we can consider your views at a meeting.
- Submit your comments directly to Midlothian Council via their Search and Comment on Planning Applications page.
Details of the latest planning applications affecting our area will be listed here.
